BONDSTOCK 2010

What is Bondstock?
Bondstock is Bond University’s premier event of the year. It is a week-long festival run by students, for the students incorporating academic, sporting, social, and cultural events appealing to the University’s diverse community.
Launched in 2005, Bondstock has been embraced by the entire Bond community
and is now a firm fixture on the calendar in September each year. The festival has continued to gain momentum since its inception and in 2010 Bondstock will be taken to the next level.
When is it?
The festival will be held from September 19 - 25. On the Bond calendar, this is the second week of the third trimester - the best trimester of the year. The Northern Hemisphere is emptied of its students as they migrate south to Bond, creating one of the most vibrant student atmospheres in Australia. Local students break out of their winter hibernation as the temperature on campus rises. And so the festive trimester begins.
What’s happened in the past?
Bondstock has held some incredible events over the years. Most re-cently, 2008 saw the Big Brother House play host to a brilliant Secret Location Party; former Prime Minister John Howard presented to the students at an inspiring Corporate Lunch; and artists John Course, End of Fashion, and The Potbelleez lit up the Music Festival.
In 2009, Bondstock introduced the Launch Party where over 300 students witnessed one of the best fireworks displays on campus. The university watering hole, Don’s Tavern, was home to an- other successful event - The Comedy Night. The Music Festival went from strength to strength with more acts and a larger crowd than ’08; The Stafford Brothers, Former Child Stars, The Shiny Brights and DJ Pat Sweeney all graced the stage for an incredible night.
